Campaign and Event Branding

Fundraisers and events are a chance to push your branding and add some personality. Cohesive and consistent visuals build recognition with your audience.

Publication Design

Annual reports, magazines, and books are mini-brand ambassadors. They should tell a story that supports your brand’s mission and values in a visually compelling way. I have more than 20 years of experience designing print and digital publications—from 12 pages to 100.

VIP Design Day

Perfect for organized clients who need great design done quickly. Some examples of what can be accomplished:

  • Brand refresh consisting of small logo tweaks and/or updates to your color and type palettes

  • Interactive donor presentation or PDF

  • We will have a preliminary planning meeting to set expectations and then schedule your VIP six-hour time slot dedicated to just you!

The Design Process

  • All projects begin with a strategy call where we discuss your goals.

  • This is when I dive deep into what makes your brand tick, and explore different design directions.

  • For larger projects, I will present you with several stylistic moodboards to help us hone in on a visual direction. These will include colors, typography, and images. This is where you will have the greatest amount of input and ability to make changes.

  • At this stage, you will be presented with a single design concept, shown in detail (your logo applied in real-world environments or mockups of your publication). I utilize the one-concept method, which almost never has significant revisions, due to my in-depth focus on strategy and style alignment before design.

  • You will have the chance to make two rounds of refinements to the design concept if needed, and/or a set number of text revisions to print publications. You will receive your files ready to use or send to the printer.

FAQs

Interested in working together but have questions?

How long does the branding process take?

My Brand Intensive takes only two weeks and is ideal for new organizations that need a jumpstart. One-on-one brand strategy plus identity design can take 4-12 weeks depending on schedule, your collateral needs, and how quickly you respond with feedback.

How soon can we start?

I would love to start ASAP, however my availability varies throughout the year and is dependent on the scope of your project. I recommend reaching out at least two months in advance of your ideal launch date as I have limited slots available per month.

What about copywriting, photography, videography, illustration, and web design?

I can do simple Squarespace websites or provide front-end design (the visual look and feel of a website), but leave coding to professionals (or work with your in-house developer). I have a network of collaborators who share my values and work with clients just like you. If you need photography, copywriting, or web design, I can refer you to someone I trust.

What if I only want a logo?

For many years, I focused solely on logo design, but have come to realize it is like frosting a cardboard cake. It looks pretty, but has no substance. Without a values framework, your communications will fall flat with your ideal audience. Learn more here.

What is a Brand Strategy Session?

Think of our Strategy session as a deep and thoughtful conversation with you and your top stakeholders. I will offer an outside perspective and ask questions based on the information you provide in the Brand Questionnaire. 

What if I am confident in the brand strategy I have?

If you have already done the work on your brand values, let’s have a conversation to see where you are at. It may be possible to move forward to the design phase.

Do you offer services at a lower cost?

Yes! I offer two-week Brand Intensives and VIP Design Days. Both are more limited in scope and perfect for those with limited budgets or tight timelines.
